There did used to be a cinema in Golders Green, but it closed last year (no doubt it couldn't compete with the new Warner multiplex down the road). I liked going to this cinema, with it's old style big screen and large block of seats.
OK so it didn't get masses of trade (there are times when I could count the numers on my hands) or the latest greatest releases but it did have it's charm. Now it's just boarded up and no more

I have spent many a happy hour on a sunday evening having a drink in the Royal Oak. Over a few years I used to enjoy being in there with a group of mates discussing the world.

The Royal Oak - I hope its still there. If you come off the North Cicular and go towards Golders green it is on the right hand side. its next to a Garfunals restaurent and near a Blockbusters. If you carried on the main road for half a mile you would come then to Golders Green underground.

It might be further out than I've been on a walk so I might not have seen it.

There was no blockbusters in GG... but there is now!
So my statement was correct at the time .

Well, I was in the Kosher King area, then we went up to have a meal in Cafe on the Green and the girl sitting on the table next to me turned out to be the leader from the camp I went on last year! Small world isn't it?
