Hi,
I've just become a member of the BBC site and have just read your comments on the Mi Amigo thread. I'd just like you and your family to know that the people of Sheffield haven't forgotten what happened back in 1944. I discovered the memorial and story of Mi Amigo by accident back in 1996 whilst walking through the park.
To help perpetuate the memory of Mi Amigo and its crew my partner and I have created a collection of original WW II 8th AAF items dedicated to them specifically and the U.S Army Air Forces in general. The collection includes ten dress uniforms of correct rank for the crew and various items of flight gear. We've also been invited to exhibit at the American Air Museum at Duxford (U.K) and the American Military Cemetery at Cambridge on Memorial and Veteran's Day.
I just thought you'd like to know. Regards.
Mi Amigo

Would you like a photo of the crew? http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/F3088540?thread=3053969
