He...yes, he is the number one for the old style Country and Western Ballads and Cowboy songs, such as El Paso, Streets of Laredo!!
He was the influence that made me learn to play guitar as well many moons ago along with the Shadows of course!!

No prob. It's one of those non-gender specific names isn't it?
I play, correction, try to play, a variety, country obviously being favourite, but I like classical and spanish flamenco.Struggling with the flamenco mind.
I play a 6 string acoustic at present but would love to have a go on an electric...can't afford one now so can only dream!!

I don't practice anywhere near enough these days...every time I come back from the country club on Mondays I say, must get guitar out and practice, never do!!
Good job I don't have to make a living from it!!

I have a 'Fender Catalina', bought it about 15 years ago now, cost just over £600.00 at the time with it's case!!It's all black with a thin white strip around the edge. It's a lovely looking guitar actually. When I was having lessons the instructor always used it for demo purposes rather than his own!!

Well, Fender were the ones that brought out the world famous 'Fender Stratocaster' (sp)electric guitar that many pop and music stars used and still use today.
I would have to say one of the best makers of electric and acoustic guitars in the world.
I believe it was Jimi Hendrix that brought them to certain fame when he broke one as part of his act!!
