An aside on the film

Noel Coward, having watched the film, quipped to Peter O'Toole:
"If you'd been any prettier, it would have been Florence of Arabia."
An even greater aside, both O'Toole and Richard Burton go down in Oscar lore as both being nominated for 7 oscars without ever winning one.

My favourite quip from Hollywood lore comes from a dialogue between the beautiful and effiminate Laurence Harvey and the Ruggedly macho John Wayne.
Legend has it that Harvey was walking along a parapet, Wayne spotted him and hollered
'Cantch yoo even wuhlk lika a man?'
harve, knowing Wayne's real name hollered back:
'Did you say something Marion?'
Key: Complain about this post
