Hey, that color change thing is really cool.
I've been emailing with 'alicat', she and I have a lot in common. Do you think we should meet IRL?

Hey, Cloughie, I think that color change thing is pretty trippy too!
I have been trying to track you down.
I've noticed a lot of your conversation is around Alicat.
Do you know what? I know your real name.

Thanks for the comments on my page. I'm very much a novice at any designing, so I get very pleased with myself if something works.
BTW, it's easy to find out someone's real name. Go to the 'Search the Guide' option, ignore the first bit and scroll down to search for the individual researcher. Their name is in brackets. (If they put it in their details that is )

But you don't know mine!
Should you meet alicat IRL? Well, my opinion, for what it is worth:
The fact that you are asking means perhaps you are not sure anyway. You’ve been talking here and via e mail, but not for that long. You’ve both been able to take time to present the image that you want to each other. This is one of the luxuries denied to any of us in the so called real world, how ever much we wish it was so sometimes! Would a meeting enhance or destroy this at the moment? It’s a magical and wonderful place here where anything is possible. Some of that would be lost, although more might be gained. Either way, it would be different.
What would I do? Well, I’m a cautious fish. I wouldn't meet anyone alone. There’s a very real chance of meeting loads of researchers at the London birthday bash. This scares me a little, and I might decide not to do it at the last minute! I like it here in the h2g2 world, although we all have to stare RL in the face sometimes>
Anyway – have I helped? You both have partners. What do they think? And how’s you knowledge of the life and times of Peter Gabriel?

Peter Gabriel has lived a pretty fair life. I, myself, have not. If we were to meet, Peter Gabriel and and I would probably get along. Hopefully, alicat will be the same. I only want to meet a fellow YEShead for a change.

Funnily enough ali was also on my mind this morning. (you are 5 hrs behind I think?) I went back through some of the Niagara Falls stuff.
She needs to know that people are thinking of her.
