Hello and welcome to H2G2.
A lot of us around here didn't have a focus or purpose until we found here ourselves, now we run virtual doughnut stall, ski resorts on sandcastle, virtual bars, restaurants etc. If you want to find your way to some of these establishments just click on my homepage and follow the links, I think they are fairly up to date.

You'll be pleased to know I'm a traditionalist in that area and I rely on wiley charms and bear-traps

Actually, as I'm suffering from post-birthday bad mood, I feel I'm pushing it describing myself as a girl. I drank my entire year's alcohol units in one weekend and I'm STILL suffering from it. I look like an escapee from the British museam mummy collection today. Sorry, don't mean to sound scary!

I've got an idea. Why don't you come along to my virtual birthday party in the Forum & Firkin - http://www.h2g2.com/A187508 - on March 9? You can't get a hangover from virtual drinks, there'll be plenty of boys around, and since the party's for my 40th birthday you'll feel fantastically young by comparison!

Ever heard that song by The Undertones; 'More Songs About Chocolate And Girls'?

No, I nicked my name from a Jo Brand sketch. What are the lyrics like?

Well, not that interesting in themselves, but the song appeared on their second album, and referred to songs they'd already done (surprise, surprise) about girls, like 'Teenage Kicks'* and chocolate - 'Mars Bars', which *does* have some cracking lyrics...1.2.3.4...
I need a Mars Bar
(Hey! Raid the Spar!)
To help me through the day
I need a Mars Bar
I've had ten so far
It helps me - makes me - work rest and play
It helps me - makes me - work rest and play
I never eat my dinner
I push away the plate
You can see I'm getting thinner
Because I just can't wait
To get my Mars Bar
(Hey! Raid the Spar!)
...
To Patrick Moore and David Bowie
And all the other stars
There's evidence here to show you
That there's life on Mars
I need a ...
There's glucose (glucose!) for energy
Caramel (caramel!) for strength
The chocolate's only there
To keep it the right le-e-ength
I need a ...
To anybody out there who still eats Twix ?
Anybody on packets of Buttons ?
I gave them up when I was six
I hope your teeth go rotten
I need a ...
Work - rest - and play!
O.K., maybe it loses a litle something in the telling.
* Talking about lyrics, 'Teenage Kicks' had my one and only mis-heard lyric on it. While they were singing, 'Dressed like that you should be living in a different world', I was hearing, 'Dregs like Thatcher should be living in a different world'.
