Motorcycles rip from one party to the next over the red dusty groun of Vagator beach. Awe inspiring sunsets, cheap food and rent (although fellow travallers assure me that it is more expensive here than elsewhere in India). They has just had been an election, and the winner, who is now the 'Desk' of the regional government, is a man who supports the oft-maligned party culture of this area.

Once here, it is hard to leave. The only real option is another 14 hour bus ride through the sweaty, insect ridden Indian night on narrow, bumpy roads packed with psychotic drivers who use their horns as substitutes for brakes, indicators etc.
