It's more like one of those deals where someone gives a friend of yours trouble, and though you may not want any more trouble, you still will voice your anger.
Phil Collins won the Oscar for best song. And, I don't think that you know this, but I'm a huge fan of Trey Parker, most of the brains behind South Park (among other things). And he was nominated for one of the songs from the South Park movie. Now, I knew that he wouldn't win, and so did Trey Parker and Marc Shaiman (who co-wrote the soundtrack). They said that they didn't care who won, as long as it wasn't Phil Collins!
I'm not really a fan of Phil's, but I don't have anything against the man, aside from this.

I have to say, although I really enjoyed the South Park movie, I couldn't see the Academy voting for any of the songs, not really their type of thing I would have thought . Still, funny that Phil did win, eh?

I thought it was pretty funny.
I don't know how it got nominated. But, I do think that they deserved the nomination. But then again, I think the South Park movie should have been nominated for best picture, director, and original screenplay as well.

Certainly original screenplay. The scenes with the devil and Saddam Hussein really cracked me up.

Yeah, I thought the whole thing was just brilliant.
If you like musicals, the SP movie in particular, you should see Cannibal: the Musical. It's because of that movie that got South Park made.

It's been out over here for about two years now. I know that it's already out in Austrailia (sp?), so it might be out 'over there'.
I have got to get to bed.
You have a good afternoon.

I wanted Randy Newman to win. He's been nominated 3 years in a row. But the song from the "real" Disney movie always wins. (Randy Newman's nominations were from the two Toy Story movies and one from the second Babe movie.)

Has Randy Newman never won?
I liked the song from Babe, and that they had Peter Gabriel sing it.
Hey, Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins were both in Genesis. Weird.

No, he never won. And I totally forgot they had Peter Gabriel sing that.
Actually, Randy Newman may have been nominated for something from A Bug's Life as well. I think he scored and wrote songs for all three of those films from Pixar.

Those movies are really good. I like Bug's Life the best I think.
I like Randy Newman alright, but he's kinda cheesy. But I did cry at the part in the first Toy Story when Buzz tries to fly out the window at Sid's house.

Oh, I think Randy Newman's cheesy as well. I just think of the nominees he's the one that should win.

Actually, Marc Shaiman, who was nominated with Trey Parker has been nominated quite a few times as well.
