I was interested to see your "best band ever" poll, especially as I've been running a "Worst band in the world" poll on my page. I notice that one very strong contender for the "best ever" title has been left off your list - a little Merseyside combo, name of The Beatles. Was that a deliberate omission or an oversight?
I appreciate the difficulty of doing something like this only too well. My biggest project on h2g2 has been The Music Website Jukebox - http://www.h2g2.com/A242245 - which largely consists of a massive list of links to artist websites. There are over 500 on there now, but I still keep getting "how dare you leave out the fantastic..." type postings. However, if I can just respectfully suggest a couple more contenders you might usefully include: how about Oasis and Radiohead? The latter would get my vote as best current band.

The Beatles thing was an oversight due to the fact that the poll was constructed on the spur of the moment without any real thought - but I will try and update it soon

I have visited your poll too. I also think that The Beatles and Radiohead should both be included. I think that the main flaw of the poll is that you have to compare bands with very different styles
(Eg Queen & Nirvana) and I may be better to have multiple polls.
For example, Best 60,70,80,90's rock band, best alternative rock band, best grunge, best heavy metal etc. A good poll nonetheless though.
