With a need for free energy, ive wondered whether due to the high levels of background radiation produced by radio antennas, microwave transmitters and field strengths off of pylons whether at all it is possible to capture enough of this power to say charge something small. I doubt you would get a constant flow to power a device constantly but i imagine you could harness enough energy to slow charge a battery. With a combination of energy gained from background energy and movement i would have thought it is possible to produce enough to charge a battery. A egg shape design covered in micro fiber antenna's that not only pick up background energy but also move in a breeze. inside the egg could be the converter, micro switches and movment generators all sending the power out via cable to a battery. the larger the egg the more energy captured. rather than capturing one source of energy like the wind turbine you are collecting from multiple sources.
could this be possible?
Also have tried this and is quite productive. wind generates mounted in or above chimneys turn more regularly than just waiting for a breeze. using the heat rising naturally through the home or from boiler exhaust vents energy can be collected and used. More we collect the less we use off the grid. The cheaper the bills.
Continuing with the free energy thread, Due to the lack of rain a back garden water storage seems the way to go. Mount or sink a tank in the garden. if you have a water meter you will get an idea how much you use and how big a tank you would need to make a good saving. have the tank fitted inline with the mains water supply to your house which isn't as hard as it sounds. the idea here is when the tank is low it can take water from the mains to make sure there is a constant supply. This water can be used for toilets etc. water collected from gutters of the house, and by putting gully's in the garden water can be directed to the tank. Making a dew pond in the garden also helps to collect water. A dew pond pulls the moisture out of the air so even in the driest of days water is usually collected. If your really into saving. Install a filter system then you can recycle and clean all collected water. The more ways you collect the less you pull from the mains. you will be surprised how quickly your tank fills, and how rapidly your main water usage drops.
