Why should Ex-Atari owners be made to cry?
Hal Posted Nov 8, 2000
Well, after-
-Atari allowing companies like Mattel to steal their thunder
-Atari's decision to use any version of GEM
-the atrocious marketing of the Lynx, Jaguar & TT
-Atari going out of the hardware business
-Atari being bought
-Atari being renamed
I guess they should be used to it by now
The -reason- they should be made to cry is for
-not giving up in the MCIBTYC debates in the late
'80s
-always mentioning the STT (ST Transputer) in the
above debates (which never arrived)
-refusing to acknowledge GEM as a limitation
-maintaining that Tempest was the Best Game Ever
-having a better version of Defender of the Crown
than any other computer, and not letting PC owners
forget it

Why should Ex-Atari owners be made to cry?

It was a games console in the early '80s (the best of the
three original volume sellers- Atari 2600, Intellivision,
and ColecoVision).
..but then they got into financial trouble, stopped making it
and came up with the.. Cabbage Patch dolls instead.
