Spurs are appealing for a rematch of their final game because of the food poisoning incident.
What do we think should happen.
Now, I have a confession to make here. When I was a young boy, I used to be a bit of a Spurs fan. It was the years of Lineker, Gascgoigne and - er - Pat van den Hauwe, and I didn't know better than to support the Iron.
But I'd much rather see them go into the Champions' League than Arsenal, not least because they're the underdogs. If ten of their players genuinely have a medical note, then the match should be replayed, even if some of them were 'just fit' to play. What say you?

The first top flight English game I ever saw in the flesh was Spurs on the plastic at Loftus Road. Also being a hardened London Monarch's fan I spent many a happy afternoon at White Hart Lane. Considering my dad is a Gooner I would get the biggest pleasure seeing the Wenger boys having to qulify by lifting the trophy.

However the precedent was set by what happened to Middlesborough. Not bveing able to field a strong team is not sufficient gorunds for a game to be cancelled.
I am afraid IMHO the result should stand. If a sqaud cannot field a team on time they should forfiet the result.

I guess that would depend upon the result of the enquirey into the food poisoning. Suppose it turns out to be a demented Arsenal fan (I know there isn't any other kind) who worked in the kitchen ?

That enquiry will take too long to be allowed to affect the decision.
The result should stand, and Spurs should be grateful for the chance to blood a very young squad in the EUFA rather than getting an absolute kicking in the Champions League. And I speak not only for myself but also my raging Spurs supporting mate.
Besides, what sort of amatuer hour Premiership team doesn't have their own chef?

did they lodge a formal complaint before the match? did they have a justice of the peace or notary come examine the situation?
if not they deserve sympathy and nothing else.

Result should stand. In fact they should be docked points for whinging and complaining!
Should they keep playing it until they win? Give me a break.
