Alright, I haven't installed computers up in heaven until now. (It's not as if we needed the processing power, with the small amount of people making it through the 'selection critera'. I believe the 'infernal' one sold his soul to Apple, kind of like Mr.Adams really)
Anyway, when I tried to put a lovely background on my page, unfortunately it looked awful because it wasn't confined to the text box. Is there any way of confining in there ?
If you furnish me with what I require, I'm willing to look over any past misdemeanors, at the appropriate juncture in time...

I couldn't tell you, and even if I could, I don't believe in you *^_^*.

There's no way to confine a background to the text area of your page that I'm aware of.

How about putting a frame or single cell table around the text area?
I don't know if it'd work but you could try and let us see the results!

Hmmm... Yes, that could work Phil. I'll try it out once I've sorted out this rogue Horsehead Nebula.
Just as well you thought it up, really. I had just about conceeded you in the celestial game of chess...

Oh...Hmmm. Yes, I finally got around to wrangling/implementing the table idea, miracles do happen. So thanks Phil. You can have this by way of gratitude...

Hey, how can I have a nice black background on my homepage?

Bruce Posted May 13, 2000
You could use
document.bgColor="black";
to set the background colour to black though it'll look a little strange around the Go

Everything looks strange around the goo... I can't wait to get rid of the goo

Thanks Bruce, I'll put that into action once I've posted.
Bits around the goo will still be blue, right? That's fine

THANK YOU BRUCE!!!
Oooh, my page looks so sexy . If you scroll past the goo.
Oh yeah, I may want to sort out the mouse picture, but I love it as it is nonetheless

I dunno... it looks so confined in a table
Plus, if you have some background image, the words are really hard to read, when printed on top of the background (hint hint )
