Cool water on your wrists, cool water to wet your hair. Keeps you lovely and cool.

My old nan always said that the best way to cool down is to drink something hot, cause then your body will sense it really needs to cool down, what with all this heat that's happening to it, and you will become cooler.
Why the body can't sense this BEFORE you have the drink and WHILST you're stuck in the blistering heat was never fully explained to me.

Wrap a wet towell around your head (not obstructing any airways). If you're in a car, wind the windows down - the faster you drive, the cooler you get (but dont break any speed limits).

Hi there hoopy froods, towelers, galactic hitchhikers and oither sentient beinggs.
I find my towel IS very useful in keeping cool. I first take my towel andf get it well soaked.
You can do this by washing your hair, and drying it with your towel, or soak it in a nearby
supply of water, Then I squeeze it a touch to make sure the water in it is spread more even.
Then put one co corner of it on one sholder. It helps if you are not wearing a shirt. (You can
put it on over the wet towel if you want). and wrap it arround and tuck in the last corner
above a sholder alllowing hands to hang down freely under the towel thus allowing free
movement of hands, tentacles, etc. to eat, write like I am doing now, etc. It helps abit if
sitting in front of a fan or wind to create evaporation from the towel and cooling you down
even more, When towel has dried out repeat process indicated here unless you are
submirged in water or similar liquds (like the Golgafinchin Captain) .
Note : If necessary while wet you towel can not only be used to kool you off, but as a
weapon snapping it and accurately hitting it's target faster then the speed of sound.
