Any photo processing shop would be able to put the slides onto a photo cd disc, which is playable in the vast majority of home DVD players. However there is a much cheaper alternative, and that's doing the whole thing by yourself with a scanner and a CD burner. It's surprisingly easy to do, you can scan the slides yourself using your favourite picture editing program then burn the photos in JPEG format to disc at a fraction of the cost you would have to pay to have it done by a photo processing shop.

Easy, but time consuming.
If you decide to do it yourself, look for a basic paper scanner that is designed to also do slides and film. They usually have light in the cover so that it shines through the slide as it scans. There are specialized scanners that do nothing but slides and film, you don't want that - they do a great job but the expense is not worth it for most people, and the results you get from a basic paper scanner that does slides as well are usually fine.
