I'll say hello over here so that can get on with his very important work.

You asked how I was. Well, I've had a few upheavals in the past year or so, emotional and geographical, but nothing I couldn't cope with and I'm on the right path now, even if I haven't arrived at my destination yet. My journal entry "You can take that job and..." gives some of the story.

Sunshine and Moonlight, my teenage daughters, have had to tag along with their mother's crazy life and yet, on the whole they remain intelligent and articulate, remarkable well balanced and wonderful company. We hope to be moving house for the 3rd time in 3 years very soon and then we'll stay put. For a while...

More to the point - how are you? How has life been over the last year or so? It's so good to see you posting back here.

I'm sorry that you had to go through all those upheavals. I am doing well. I have been alcohol free for almost 2 years. I am single again. I walked in on my husband and his new girlfriend. My older dog, Angus, was hit by a car in Sept. He didn't move for over 6 hours, then he just got up and tried to walk. His leg was injured, but he has made a full recovery. My brother was in a car accident 5 days after Angus' accident. He lost his left eye. He is doing remarkably well. He has a great attitude. He is going today to get his prosthetic eye. He and his family will be spending Xmas at my Dad's, so I'm very excited.

What a lot to cope with in your life and yet you still stay alcohol free. I'm so proud of you. Each one of those events alone would be quite enough for most people. I'm sure there are times when you don't feel like a strong person, but you obviously are.
