This is a much nicer place. Nice and roomy and quick, for now. I liked the old place, too. well, I liked the company. Is it a big bar that you work in? would they let our motley gang drink there? Do you get to watch the game while you work? Who are you going for in the final? See you later.

That's a lot of questions in one post . I'll try to answer them then. The place that I work is not just a bar, it's more like a centre for music and culture. Lots of times we have bands playing there, or we're doing a movie-week when we show 1 or 2 movies every night. Everybody is allowed in there and everybody gets to go their own way, as long as they don't bother other people. Which also means that if people want to smoke weed or hash, they can go right ahead. It's not like a coffeshop; we don't sell it, but we allow people to use it. On busy nights (like the New Years Eve party) we can handle somewhere between 600 and 700 people in there.
When I'm working during the match, I can see some parts of the match, but since I'm one of the three people organizing the entire Euro2000 thing, there's 1000 things to take care of, so I wasn't able to see that much. And although Holland was defeated by Italy, I'm still going for the Italians in the final.
I think I answered all of your questions, didn't I ?

LOL. Yes, you sure did. It sounds like a great place to work. I can imagine how busy you'd be. Holland is so much more enlightened than Canada. I guess most of Europe is. From what I understand, Vancouver is now allowing smoking up in some public places. It's really no more harmful than cigarettes and alcohol. Pretty soon, the people who make the rules will all be young enough and free-thinking enough that they will have to legalize soft drugs.

Well, I have to say that we are one of the few pub-like places where smoking stuff is allowed. Most of the regular pubs have a very strict policy against that. Which is probably why so many people enjoy spending their time with us

Hey Ali, if you can manage to be online in about two hours from now (it's about 3pm over here atm), then we can have a talk in Willow Farm if you like

I can be there. I'm going to sign in and get a new passport, since I can't remember my old sign in name OR password. I'd better get over there now, because, knowing me, there will be all kinds of difficulties. See you there.

Errrmmm...your login and password are probably the same as your hotmail pass. your login is your email adress.
btw, I am over there RIGHT NOW!!

I'm sure most NORMAL people would use the same password as their e-mail, but I must have been trying to be tricky. I tried everything I could think of. I've got a new password now and I thought I was all set to chat. I typed in my message, no problem, but it would not send. What the **** am I doing wrong now? I tried to have a chat there before but the same thing happened. Why won't the message register? Sorry for all the problems.

Maybe ICQ is the only option left then . It's hard for me to explain when I can only do one post at the time and I have to wait for feedback before I can move on to the next. If you have already downloaded ICQ2000a, I can write an install and setup guide for you, so that it's ready to use before you know it .

I tried typing a message and hitting enter, but nothing is happening. Does someone else have to be in the chat room? I'll send an e-mail explaining about ICQ. It's impossible ATM. I have a meeting in 15 minutes, so I will have too do it when I get back. Sorry for all the trouble.

Kheldar (Don't hate the media, Become the media) Posted Jul 6, 2000
Don't worry about it. If I didn't think it was worth the effort, I would not be trying to help you, so it's my own fault if I get bored with this .
I don't think someone else has to be in the chatroom. It worked for me when I was in there alone, so...
I may have found another option though. Check your email !

I hope I haven't missed you already. I'm at text chat, but there's just a blank grey screen. It's an hour after your last posting. I'll keep buzzing back. You were just at Deimos a little while ago.

Kheldar (Don't hate the media, Become the media) Posted Jul 8, 2000
Oh dear, not again. I guess we'll just have to set up a date and time, so that we can't miss one another.

The chat room is fabulous. Shazz and I were there for a few HOURS! yesterday. Today, I keep losing my chat server. I guess it's because I've been inactive. I hope to run into you here, then we can have a nice conversation. So you're an Aries, too? So am I.

I'm there now. Did I miss you? I was updating replies to all the forums on my page and didn't get back here until now. I hope you're still around. I don't want to lose my chat server again. I'll hang out in the chat room and cross my fingers.

I'm here. The Grinch is on vacation for two weeks, so I'm only getting online when I can. Things will be back to normal again next week.
How have you been? What do you think of the changes at h2g2? I surprised don Alfredo With a Hertog- Jan a while ago.
Hi Kheldar
Kheldar (Don't hate the media, Become the media) Posted Jul 26, 2000
Doing great. I suspected something like that, cause I haven't seen you online much lately.
I think the h2g2 upgrade is great. Things have become much more user-friendly now. Well, if things will be better next week, I'll probably talk to you more from next week on
