1993: The last chance to see my mother. Regretfully passed it by.

I almost know how you feel. My dad passed unexpectedly this past December, just a few days before Christmas. He was 66 years old but still in fine shape, he still did cartwheels at parties and worked like a mule every day. I miss him a lot. He had an unexpected heart attack, and though I found out soon after, and he was alive when I got to the hospital, but I didn't get to see him before he died.

You shouldn't feel bad or have any regrets for anything you have or haven't done in the past. Everything we do has a purpose, even if we don't know it yet.

You are right, of course. You know exactly how I feel. I was at my parents earlier in the day, and my Mom was in bed because she didn't feel well. My dad said she must be sleeping, or else she would have come downstairs when she heard me. i didn't go up the stairs. she died in her bed of a massive heart attack. she was 61, and in good shape. She had recently stopped smoking after 50 years. I know God and my mom have forgiven me.
