You are forgiven, child. As long as you add G'n'R and Nirvana (right between Queen and U2).

Cool.
Are you a Toronto girl, then?

No, but only 1 1/2 hours away. I'm from Welland, near Niagara Falls and St. Catherines, if that helps. Where are you?ali

I live in London, but my father was Canadian - I still have some family in Barrie.

My Father's family was from London. My Dad was the only one born in Canada. Barrie is a beautiful place. It's about 2 hours from here. They have concerts there every Canada Day. (July 1) Happy St. Patrick's Day.

Happy SPD (belatedly)! Soon after my last post I finished my night shift and went on an all-day Guinness session.
Which was nice.

I was still standing but apparently having trouble reaching coherence at about 10pm.

I was still conversing, but I don't remember anything. I partied in Toronto this past weekend, and got cut off in the bar. I have no idea why. I'm pretty sure it was justified. Everyone at our table was mystified as well. No one knows quite what I did. I don't think we'll get anymore invites. Ho hum. How was your weekend then? I've heard the weather in London has been quite lovely. It's been nice here, too.

Yeah - a few days of rain creeping in here or there, but the weather has been great for a few years now. Less rain, less cold, more sun. Can't complain.

I hate to say it, but I rather like this global warming. Not nearly as much snow to shovel. This winter was a beauty. What kind of music do you like?
The Truth
Zebedee (still Pool God after all these years) Posted Apr 4, 2000
Talk about changing the subject! Most things actually - as long as there's some genuine musical skill to appreciate. Where should I start? Beatles, Beach Boys, Blues Bros (that's just the B's!) Beethoven.....
And then stuff like GnR, U2, Queen, Oasis, etc, etc. One great band, if you haven't heard of them - the Longpigs. Well worth a listen.

No, I've never heard of them. I like your taste in music, so I'll have to check at the record store next time I'm in the mall. I hate shopping for anything except music. Do you like Peter Gabriel at all? He's probably my favourite. I like GnR and U2 also. I like Pearl Jam, too. Lots of stuff, really. Have you ever heard of the Tragically Hip? There are quite a few good Canadian bands around now. Our Lady Peace, Tea Party, Moist, I Mother Earth.

Never really got into Pearl Jam, to be honest. Loved Nirvana though - why is it that the best bands split and the best songwriters dir before their time?
And the others haven't graced the UK yet, to my knowledge - but I'll prbably be over before Xmas so I'll look out for them.

Yes, it seems that the more talented they are, the sooner they go. Just think of the concerts you could see in Heaven.

Considering what some of them got up to, there must be a good matinee in Hell too........

Well, I've been a bit of a hands-off, laissez-faire God so far, but I'm quite pleased with the way things are going. Maybe I'll create a new animal......
