Lost. The coach driver was. On the M6. Of all places. Everyone else on board knew *exactly* where we were. And where we were going. Except the driver. On the M6. I still can't quite get over that. It's a motorway for pity's sake.
*sighs*
I'm back now, though...

What not the M6 which runs from the M1 just north of Rugby and just south of Leicester and runs past Birmingham, Stoke and between Liverpool and MAnchesret on it's way north past Preston and on to just north of Carlisle and just south of Gretna Green.
And you are saying a professional driver got lost on that. What is National Express coming to.

Yes, the one and the same, M6.
He didn't work for national express, though, but he did deny having a map when we told him that the standard route from worcester to Durham involoved, among other things, the M42 and M1, and thats why there were signs up saying "the North East" M42 (M1). He was lying, too, he so did have a map. He got it out.

Even so. No the hardest route in the world. You must ahve done the M5 at some point to get from Worcester to teh M6 surely.

Sorry I used to do about 1000 miles a month up and down the English motorway network.

so in your considered opinion, once you've joined the m5, is it more sensible to go m6 to junction 38, then a668? or something to the A66, carry on on that to Scotch Corner, and then go on the A1 (M) to Durham, OR should you go on the M42/M1 route to the North East?

Depends on what the traffic situation is but I'd go M42 if it was clear. A66 has snare up problems of it's own but once you get to Scotch Corner it is clear sailing (pardon the pun) to Durham.

Thankyou. I recall tailbacks for a bit on the M6, but I don't think that our drivers reasoning was traffic. We're thinking of warning the uni against the firm- we had a flat tyre on the way down, and the hub cap was on so tightly that the driver couldn't get it off himself, eventually our organist bent it off.

I'm not even going to go there. That so seems like an innuendo. And i'm too tired to cope.

I've just been working on the post and they are going to be running a virtual President of H2G2 fancy being my running mate. I think Donut are a real vote getter.

I'll sort that out it'll be in this weeks post but we'll have to work on our campaign strategy at some point.

Cool. I think our strategy should involve giving out donuts, and promoting continuity. At the moment.
How do I submit an entry for the post??
