I can't help feeling irritated by one of today's aproved entries...

I've now identified the line that really irritated me as
"But, everywhere you go in the world, excluding probably Manchester and Liverpool, you're bound to run into United fans" - its offensive to my friends in Manchester who support united, a sweeping generalisation. I don't *want* to seem/be so humourless...... but I don't think its appropriate.

I agree

Living in Manchester, and having a family who originate from Salford and all support Manchester United passionately, I agree with you. People are always ranting about where Manchester United fans come from, they seem to forget the faithful fans who come from the region. It seems a bit like sour grapes to me; I can't remember them saying stuff like that during the eighties when Man Utd weren't doing so well, but my uncles etc. were still going to every match.
