Cyber drinking

bludragon, aka the Dragon Queen of Damogran

Hullo, Wonko!

It's the bluDragon. We met briefly at Spiny's [formerly Spiny Norman] place. Well, maybe we passed in the night. But I think I did catch a glimpse of the light glancing off your glass as we passed.

In any case, Spiny has gone off on holiday, and he asked if I would pop over and say hullo.

*waves paw*
HULLO!!!

So have you got anything to drink around here? We Guide researchers are experts at Cyber drinking. Quite a lot of it seems to go on in forums. And you seem to have caught on to the concept right at the start. I do like tonic, but [sorry to say] cant say as I care much for gin. Maybe the gin on your side of the Atlantic is better than over here in the colonies, but I usually take my tonic with vodka. Hope this doesn't offend or anything. My husband likes a good g&t himself...so I understand the merit of the stuff. Maybe it was that I was frightened by a gin bottle as a small child. Maybe it's just that no one seems to *sniff* care.

*sob, choke*

Oops, 'scuse me.
*takes medication*
There now, much better!

Actually I'll drink pretty much anything that is lying around. We've been having a great bit of tea at Spiny's, and a little rum as well.

Well, got to run, just wanted to say 'Hi!'

Spiny has pointed out to me that cyber drinking is the sort of invention that only someone who can't get out there and do the real thing would come up with. Cruel, but true. Spiny is aware that since the (relatively) unexpected advent of baby twins (now 17 months old), 'actual drinking' has become a bit of a luxury. *Sigh*. Never mind. Keep me informed about the happy land of C2H5OH. I'll be back some day if the passport's still valid. Err... by the way, aren't human drinks a bit on the feeble side for a dragon? - if that's not too personal...

I heard rumors from Spiny about your twins, and as one who had 4 daughters within 6 years, I am as close to sharing the experience as one can come and be limited to single births.

My first was born on New Year's Eve [she will be 25 at the Millennium] and right away she cut into my drinking time. This set a pattern for the next 15 years or so. [hope this doesn't depress you too much]

I DID find that when I took out my passport and dusted it off, I found that it worked almost as well as when it was new. The need for sleep seems to have taken priority over experiencing adult beverages. That is, the need to sleep occurs sooner, and lasts longer. Other than that, I find that my passport still includes a complete selection of alcoholic experiences. So do not fear, there IS 'life after children'.

And I don't mind you asking about my draconic side. Dragons enjoy ALL human alcoholic beverages, sometimes consuming [or swiming] in large tubs. There was a rather neat trick I did at a party at Garibaldi's some weeks ago with several gallons of something called B52s. Dragons can breathe fire...need I say more??? [I'll leave out the part about the hiccups]

My greggil [human] side prefers Canadian whiskey, with little ice, and less water.
