Hi!
Never seen you online before, but with such a low number you've been here about 3 years, right?
I know it's almost the anniversary of the launch of h2g2, so I bet you've seen quite a few changes in your time here!
Not to mention the increase in smiley options
One of the best things about this place, apart from the people of course...
Have you been to any meet-ups?
Happy Hitchhiking!

Hiya Galaxy Babe! Yeh, I've been here for yonks - though this is my first time online for ages. I'm not surprised you can't recall me being online before!
I usually flit in and out - have two weeks of activity then disappear again. It's a trend I'd love to reverse, as contributions (either to the guide, or to the Post, or to something) would really help my degree course.
It's true I've seen quite an increase in smileys, but clearly there's another load I have to get used to now! And I remember the pre-BBC days with less moderation. Not that moderation's a bad thing, you understand.
Umm..... Which meet-ups would you be speaking of?
( that's a no, obviously )

I remember the pre-BBC days as well, with no rules except the spitting one...
Moderation isn't bad once you get used to it, not being able to write in your own language is still a bugbear for some of my worldwide friends
But it's a good thing overall, especially as we have some very young researchers
The meets...I've only been to London ones, there's approx. 2 a year.
Interested?

Yeah, I'm definitely interested. The London ones are most likely for me, coz that's where I'm studying. Out of term time it would have to be south coast.
When's the next London one likely to be?
