Perhaps it would do well to integrate this article, if at least via hyperlinks, to the knights of Malta(1530-present) and the knights Hospitaliers of Jerusalem (?-1309), though I can assure you I don't yet know enough about them to compose an entry myself, it seems as though they were all the same institution with a different base of operations at one time or antother, including Knights of Rhodes from 1309 till 1522
