Dusting the House

My parents are currently in the process of moving house, and I was kind of obliged to be of some assistance. Then my mother asked me to dust the walls. Dust the walls. Really. This is not a joke. This happened. This is real. This was very disturbing. I was disturbed by it. I complained about the absurdity of such an act. Walls are vertical and so dust falls past them and lands on something more horizontal. I tried to explain this to my mother. She threatened to beat me with something hard and wooden. I decided to stop moaning and dust the walls.
Later she asked "Isn't it fun?" There was no sarcasm in the tone of her voice. This implied that she had performed this task herself, and had found it enjoyable and rewarding...
AAAAAAUUUURRRGHHHHH!!!!
