I saw a commercial the other day for the Salvation Army. The slogan said, "Need knows no season." If this is true, then why are their little red buckets only out at Christmas time?

Because red isn't really an Easter color.

Also during non-Christmas seasons it's hard to keep people feeling guilty enough not to zarq off with the money.

Is that how they work? Guilt?

You mean you hadn't noticed? How else do you get someone to stand in the freezing cold clanging a little metal bell for hours at a time for free?

I used to go every year with my dad and it was always -20 out.
