Id like a short name for my new yacht.

Can anyone translate into Latin: "Tranquility" "No problem" or "Dont Panic"

Any better ideas?

Or perhaps:

"With fair winds"

'with fair winds' = 'ventis serenis'

or

'ventis secundis' ('fair' in the sense 'favourable')

I happened to find "caelum ventis aperite serenis" which I think means "let the sky be cloudless and the winds blow sweetly".

What does "Caelum" mean on its own? "let the sky be cloudless "?

Is there a similar short (one or two words) construes as either:

"Cloudless sky and favourable winds"

"Let fair winds blow"

(Both in the sense "bring fair weather") or is that what you have already given me - ie "Ventis Serenis" ?(which - by the way - is a good contender for the name).

"Caelum ventis aperite serenis" is literally "Uncover the sky with fair winds".

(Caelum=sky/heaven.)

How about "fiat serenum" or "fiat serenitas", which both mean "let there be fair weather." The first one sounds nicer though.

[this is slightly amusing because it immediately makes you think of "fiat lux!" ("let there be light!") from Genesis.

There are other ways of expressing the idea in just two words but they are all quite ugly, like "caelum aperiatur" or "tempestas serenentur". Yuck!

BTW, better to use "serenis ventis" than "ventis serenis" because two 'S's in the middle make it hard to pronounce.
