This damned machine is playing some sort of twisted mind-game with me. I post a journal entry... two hours later it's vanished, so I post it again. Then the sodding thing immediately reappears, leaving me with two identical journal entries. Five minutes later I check again, only to find that all traces of my journal have vanished. I mean, just what the hell is going on here? Have I, in some way, insulted the computer without noticing? Has my journal been deemed heretical by the CIA and deleted? Are computers actually run and powered by fairies, dryads and other supernatural entities with nothing better to do than cause electronic mischief? (Hmmm... potential for an article there, methinks.) Whatever the cause, I would be grateful if this machine would just do what I ask it.

my computer won't play some cd's when i want, gets rid of postings,won't access some forums... i'm sure it's a conspiracy.

Probably. Just like the Y2K bug thing. I'm sure that was just a plot by the computers so they could have a couple of hours off over New Year's.
