h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I would go and discover h2g2 just a day before leaving town, and computer access, for five whole days (which, of course, to someone like me who would probably form an unnatural and deviant physical bond with the computer if I could figure out how to get around electricity-flesh compatability issues and past local zoning ordinances, feels like about 73 bazillion years).

But ah well, more time to read cereal boxes and shampoo bottles and maybe even a book or ten and come back with plenty more ideas for my evil plot to TAKE OVER THE WOR...er...that is, for posting up. Which between packing and desperately trying to track down mailing lists and shut off incoming mail so I don't return to 500 unread and hopelessly outdated messages, I haven't actually had time to do at all yet. But I will.

Because I'm convinced someone out there thinks that, for example, the history of neon and the art of spectaculars is as fascinating as I do, despite what the nice men in the white coats say...
