Zozzie Dolittle - welcome to H2G2. Re articles that you want to write about, the guide is looking for factual stuff, but if you feel you have something to write, go ahead anyway; even if it's not accepted it will stay in the guide. Why not write something about the place that you live in? Anyone famous from there? Any legends about teh place? Where to eat?

Of course, you can have a lot of fun here without writing any articles at all by just browsing the forums and other peoples articles.

Oh yeah, I know that now. It would be pointless if I made up backwards messages and said "oh these are real honest!"
What I think I want is for people to come up to me with lists of songs which they know have backwards messages/phrases etc in them. Preferably with the message itself, what it means etc.

This feels like something big I'm doing, and since I've had no feedback on it i'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. Is it my approach? Am I being too bossy? Help!

I have been accused of some nasty crimes in my time, but silence? Never!

I am quite prepared to bring witnesses, including two landlords who banned me from their pubs, who will confirm that silence is a fault that I do not possess!

I am not sure people know exactly what you want - if they do then they could be like me, I don't know what you are wanting either - but then I am a bit backward anyway

Backward messages in songs Mmmm - Kinda like spy coded messages?

It's exactly what it says on the tin, a backwards message in a song. Like, they say something like "Paul is dead", record it backwards,and slam it somewhere in the Sgt Pepper's album.

Like, for the one I got already, at the start of Still Life the guy says:
"What ho sead de ting wid tree bonce. Don' meddle wis tings you don' understand. *belch*"
They recorded that backwards, and put it at the start of a song. Dig?

Apparently, there's loads of these sorts of things in Black Sabbath albums, which I'm keen to hear about.
