And could you please stop blaming SSO for everything? The team are getting quite upset at all the unfounded slurs.

What about all the founded ones though. In particular the unnecessary and heavy use of javascript which is causing people difficulties in migrating and logging in. smiley - erm I can understand the tendency to blame SSO for everything though because a lot of software changes happened at the same time. So it is easy to confuse a simple mistake with a new bug or feature (whether or not it bears any relation to SSO).

On the definitively SSO side: "Hello X" "I'm not X" is really very silly and annoying. If the bar must be there something like:

"You are logged in as _loginID_ (h2g2nickname). If this is wrong click _here_."

with links in the obvious places.

It is also very confusing I found, having just migrated accounts again, that both the SSO "Retrieve my details" and h2g2 "UserDetails" (Preferences) refer to themselves as personal details but contain different information. While in the h2g2 setup the SSO one was still trying to get me to click it to change my details. I haven't thought much about a better solution yet though. I suppose they could be clearer by saying something like SSO login details and h2g2 custom settings respectively.

Oops. I forgot to complete a sentence in that:

"with links in the obvious places"

should have been

"with links in the obvious places would be better."

Note that there already is a sign-out link so the "I'm not X" one is extra silly. It should be possible to combine them. "If this is inappropriate then _sign out_". Of course the actual choice of word is tricky.
