Bad Hair Day

Post 1

Coco Pops

A whole new vista of bad hair possibilities opens up once you reach the stage of refusing to go around with increasingly greying hair. I reached that stage a couple of years ago, and reluctantly decided to go and have it coloured every few weeks for the rest of my life, or at least until I feel old enough to go grey.

What happens is this. You go along quite happily for weeks on end, checking carefully for noticeable signs of grey at the roots. Then one day you wake up and suddenly it's unacceptable. It was fine the day before - it was even fine when you brushed your hair last thing the night before.

A similar thing happens when it suddenly gets too long. What you have to do is try and ensure that the two things happen at the same time, so you can deal with them both in one trip to the hairdressers.

I think this is probably controlled by the pillow - can't think of any other scientific theory that would work, like a Bad Hair Fairy or something like that. Or maybe it Bad Hair only attacks when your head is still for long periods whilst you're asleep. That's a thought.
