I needed a bit of help to get out but had a good long hot soak in an attempt to stave off stiffness from doing the Charter Trail.
Lincoln has gone Magna Carta potty and the Trail involves finding 24 statues of Barons scattered from the Museum of Lincolnshire Life at the top of the city to St Marks station at the bottom. The statues have been decorated by local artists sponsored by local institutions; the route involves walking down and then up Steep Hill (which is - very) and its associated streets. We started at 11am and finished at 5pm with a snack break and a lunch break.
On Saturday I got dressed up to go to a 40th/18th birthday party (mother and daughter celebrating together)The dress I had intended to wear was much too big round the bust/under the arms Even the one I finally settled on was a bit loose. I wore my two and a half inch heels and "danced", including the Macarena, which you may remember features a turning jump (!!!)
The party continued with a barbecue the following day at the grandparents' house for 40 people and more fantastic cakery. It was great to meet up with people not seen for five years and their new children. Grandfather Alan has been very ill since before Christmas, but is now on the up thanks to some fantastic treatment including stem cell therapy.
The word you are looking for is "SMUG". smiley - starsmiley - star

You can call me TC

What a lovely way to celebrate your new hip. The great thing is you don't have it on your mind the whole time - you can just get on and enjoy things.

Sho - employed again!

That walk sounds great - it's always more interesting when there is a unifying theme (more than just - here are some things in one geographical place). But it sounds exhausting!

The parties sound great. I much prefer gatherings where there is a broad age range. And excellent news re the dancing smiley - magicsmiley - disco

I dared another bath last week (in the house on my own again)to use up the bath gunk. The whole house smelt lovely and there was no=one around to laugh at my efforts.smiley - starsmiley - star

smiley - biggrin I kinda encourage lodger et al to laugh at my pain and discabobulated efforts in the house... like when I misjudge sptial things now, and walk into walls or doorways... =- I figure there may as well be a posittive for the pain and getting a laugh from it is as good as any IMO smiley - zensmiley - snork - mind, not quite sure I'd dare risk a bath ATM: really not convinced I've enough strength/power left in my left arm, to get me back out afterwards! smiley - snorksmiley - laugh but I may try one tomorrow night, got a new bubble bar from the new Lush collection to try with one of their mango melts (I figured the scents seemed to go together) smiley - drool
