h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

On Friday I shall be spending most of the day at Grimsby hospital and, if all goes well, will have a swanky new hip fitted at the crack of dawn the following Friday(May 1st)

I'm impressed! straight out of the opperation, and down to the nearest discotech by the sound of it! almost as mad as my stopping off at the pub, each time we walk home from my chemo Hope it all goes smoothly and... then it is! thank BoB.... or whoever it is, for medical treatments, eh?

About the only things that are polished and ready in this chaos of a house. I would ROFL, but at the moment it hurts too much.

ing, then ouching in pain is kinda funny though... I seem to do it a lot at the moment or, just kinda forgetting I'm ment to be ill... jumping up and running about the house and then wondering why I've just about collapsed - it gives those around me a good laugh though... so its just about woth it for the amusement factor

I am currently going round the house measuring heights (of the bath, the loo, the shower tray, my bed etc) the knee bending involved produced several ouches. Good job there's nobody here to be rofling at my literal crawling.
Several of these heights are actually above my knee. Explains why I haven't sat in a bath for about six months. The real question, of course, is whether I'll be able to play the piano afterwards.

sounds simular to my tea making/dinner cooking calculations; trying to work out the exact order to do it/both in, to produce the least amount of pain causing getting up/sitting down, and other movements - I useually get it toally wrong, and making a cup of tea seems to always involve far more movement that should be required
