Err, perhaps a listing of what you've already read as a user page would be helpful...
Otherwise the conversation would degenerate into:
Me- "How about Ivanhoe?"
You- "Already read that..."
Me- "OK, how about The Old Man and the Sea?"
You- "Already read that..."
Me- "How about the Tin Drum?"
You- "This is getting ridiculous! Already read that..."
Me- "How about you listing the books you've already read in user page?"
You- "Smashing idea! I'll get right on that!!"
