It's a rational fear based on the knowledge that the ocean might kill you just for the experience. On the other hand, the ocean is a beautiful and exciting place. It's very tranquil down their, it's impossible to think of your earthly problems while submerged in that blue tranquility. Thank you for reading my entry. I am (as always) ubiquitous

No I just don't like the ocean. This is probably something my dad will not be happy about because he used to be a sea captain. I mean, if I'm in an aerplane over the ocean I freak out. I know there's just as much chance of it crashing in the ocean as there is of it crashing on the land but i still freak out.

Mayhap I'll change my name to ubiquitous the moron. I wrote "very tranquil down their" instead of "very tranquil down there". I wish H2G2 would make it possible to re-edit your messages after posting. I hope jinx doesn't see this.

Never mind, everyone makes typos. It's part of the fun. I once said "happy ass can be" instead of "happy as can be". And "messages" often changes to "massages".

I'm sorry that the ocean is a source of anxiety for you. Well there's plenty of things to do on land (not Scuba Diving) but other things. Don't read the journal entry about shipwrecks if your are aqua-averse. How are you with tap water?

Yes, typos are common, but I am very conscious of my writing, bending the rules only for effect. I hate typos (mine at least).

Ah. I used to be like that but now I just can't be bothered.
Tap water.. It depends.. cos if it turn brown or green I am nowhere within a mile of it!!
I didn't used to be scared of the ocean.. I don't think it's a phobia.. just a paranoia.
(sins) I think I'm PARAnoid (dedoo-dedoo-dedoo)
