What, exactly, is this rope you speak of? Personally, I welcom our new twine impregnated overlords. Seriously, this is just a bit of humor without much other purpose. Perhaps you could discuss being at the end of a particular kind of rope, say nylon. What is the end of the rope doing? Are you hanging on? Or a rope tamer about to complete the taming of a particularly ferocious string? In that case, you may want to expound on a more exotic type that might provide long hours of entertainment, while fighting the flute's sweet song in a very energetic fashion. You may want to mention where this rope can be obtained, as well.
If, on the other hand, your purpose is the more mundane one of encouraging those who have 'fallen on hard times', the best course might be a practical introduction to helpful organizations and perhaps some thoughts as to cushoning the fall next time around.
