We have been told about the death of several, a/k/a random on 4th Sept after suffering with a short illness. He wrote Did I leave the Iron on, an American sports update for us and will be sorely missed.

Very sad news, I always enjoyed writing with and editing several when we wrote "sporting with egon" together. I'll miss him.

The sad thing is he only sent a new piece a couple of months ago

A technical point; which may be relevant soonish. HOW do you notify hootoo you have gone to join the DNA party in the sky if you don't have a partner around? or one who hoots?

No idea really - it would be difficult for the Italics to know for sure that someone has died if said person goes offline suddenly, and stays offline.

I think the only thing the Itlaics could do would be to send an e-mail to the address you've registered with - but not receiving a reply to that isn't a sure sign either that said person has died.

I guess you'd never know, and never find out what really happened.
