Well, it's Saturday - Saturn's day for those that know. Why does that planet need a whole day anyway? After all, it's a long way away. You'd never be able to get there unless you left on Friday at the latest which defeats the point really. It's those rings, I bet. Thinks it's better than all the other planets. Except Mars. Mars has a whole month named after it. That's what happens when you give people plain brown bags full of money.

What I'd like to know is ... what about the other planets? Perhaps we could instigate a rolling roster for what we now know as Saturday to change it each week, working through the planets from nearest to the sun to furthest out.
Hence next Saturday will instead be Uranaday, followed by Plutoday and then back to Mercuriday, etc.
Every 75 years we could have a special Hailiday Saturday just for the halibut.

But then the cod would get jealous.
