I too have fond memories of reading these books in my youth. Some of them are still in print, but not available in most book shops. A good web site is the 'Malcolm Saville Society' at http://www.witchend.demon.co.uk/index.htm
It includes a list of the books and other useful info.
I recommend them to anyone who enjoys Arthur Ransome's 'Swallows & Amazons' series.
