h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Phew ... well I set up this page today ... after a morning of identifying fungi in the woods and fields nearby ... so many species and then going to a poetry reading and speaking to my love on-line (she has the beginnings of a cold!)

There is so much in this world to notice and to be part of ... and one of my jobs is to help those with a heroin user in the family. I hear all these stories of young lives just going to waste ... it really gets to me sometimes. I think of all the brilliant poets or fungi specialists or lovers or researchers who are too strung out on drugs to even function (or are so busy trying to get the money for their habit)

Anyhow it's near my bedtime ... I wonder if anyone will ever read this and what the comments might be??

Well I read it ... but then I am a new person to this shit as well ... is this all it does just writing to complete strangers about our innermost thoughts? I dunno it feels a bit crappy right now but I will stick with it.

I have always preferred beer and chocolate to hard drugs ... as I know when to stop with both of them ... and although I am fat I am not unhealthy ... I think heroin stinks ... but should I not knock it until I have tried it?

Well I was at a poetry by the relatives of heroin addicts and there was a musician playing a piece about the affects of smack ... and it did sound very seductive ... I can understand how people get onto it and cannot get off! But I would rather have poetry or even fungi ... as well it was edible fungi!
