thankyou, drains C(_) in one gulp.
May I have another please?
my CD drive is ALWAYS temperatmental. It doesn't like playing CDs; won't play music ones, doesn't like ones with programs or reference material on (eg MS Excel or Encyclopaedia Britannica) but seems perfectly happy with games.

Mine plays music, but then the computer is sitting next to two stereo's so it doesn't really matter.

Another unique event here at the Forum & Firkin... most other pubs would have a lock-in, but this is the first time I've heard of a pub having a lock-out!

Menza Posted Nov 14, 1999
Good plan, but I only have 31 minutes of free internet access left so this will have to be a quick lock-in.

In that case, as many s of Drumroll as you can pour without getting a little pop-up window that says "Document contains no data", please!

Bismillah! I've been locked in the pub for two days!

Mustapha Posted Nov 15, 1999
Exactamente! Although that's only really true for about 24 hours since that there's not much to do when locked in a pub, if you get my drift!
BTW, Bismillah - an Arabic exclamation similar to the Christian "For God's Sake!" or the Peterian "For Pete's Sake!"

Hmm. Announcement of the day - I've got a mouse! Or rather, it's got me. It's living under the cooker... of Drumroll for it, and one for me please.

Peregrin Posted Nov 15, 1999
That's a coincidence. We've known for a while that we've got a mouse in our house - we christened it Kubrick, after Stanley Kubrick. But today I saw two mice at one. This is probably not good news - soon the house will be full of little mice.
I spilt a of cider outside one of their holes, so they're set up for drinks for the next month... a for myself to replace it though, please.

Ineed!
* raises freshly-drawn of Drumroll *
Here's to the mouse!
Anyone we know? There are one or two around here of the murine persuasion...
Kubrick the Kilt-wearing mouse
Bluebottle Posted Nov 15, 1999
ANOTHER mouse??? Oh dear. I go away for the weekend, and my house-mates let home fall down. Oh well, never mind. As long as I can have a or a o or a (_)3 I guess it doesn't matter..
So Ian, what shall we call the second mouse? Stanley? What has Tim (Roasted Amoebas) come up with, and what insult has Garfie said?

Roasted Amoeba Posted Nov 15, 1999
You're ordering DRINKS, Bluebottle? heh heh heh...
I would just like to point out that I am not Roasted Amoebas, I am Roasted Amoeba.
I think the second mouse should be called Coppola, to continue the great tradition started with naming the first one Kubrick.
