I've sprained my ankle. Badly. Very badly. And it hurts. Ouch!
Thursday was a bad day, I sprained my ankle and missed Buffy The Vampire Slayer in the process, not to mention loosing £5 for not doing a paper round. There was only one good thing: I discovered my school library does have some decent books and so I have borrowed "Mostly Harmless". How's that to read in a hospital ward?

Thankyou. It really does hurt, and I've been condemmed to 4 weeks of wearing flat shoes as well, which will show everyone how short I am compared to Shim. At least in my heels I can just about see over his shoulder.....

Sorry to learn of your injury, and I hope that you have a speedy recovery... though it does appear to me that it might be the hospital and staff who will need some period of convalesence after you go home... [OUCH!! ...OUWW!!] Hey! that was a compliment young lady ooooh!

I have a suggestion for you. I think it might be quite fun round here.

Perhaps you could fire up another Entry Page/Forum, and use it to call for Suggestions, as to what to change your name to from the current nickname (I am assuming this is so) of Esti, to something else.

Of course the secret name you may have decided already, you can still use anyway. I just feel that the brainpower on h2g2 would have a field day rising to the challenge of this.

I think Peta might give this proposed page some advertising support.

There should be some rules like no hurtful or derogatory or worse sugestions, and that entrants read the current forum conversations for here as i have.

This could be fun to help while away the time for you in hospital.

Erm, I was in hospital for 2 and a half hours, thankfully. I was just a little annoyed that they released me too late for me to see even a little snitch of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It took them about 1 and a half hours just to tell me what was wrong. I'm actually happier though, as the swelling has gone down. It still hurts, but not as much, the good side is I'm banned from doing P.E. for the rest of term, which is a real blessing! When I told one of my friends (who doesn't do P.E. as a result of a knee injury 3 years ago, plus an ingrown toenail) that I couldn't do P.E, she just said "nice one! Now I've got someone to talk to a laugh with during the lessons!".

What do you mean by this "entry page"? I have decided on a name, but it's only temporary, it will change back to Esti. As you ask, and have been so nice, I'll tell you the new name: Katsy, it's an affectionate name my friends call me on very rare occasions. I am a big cat lover, so it goes.

I don't trust Peta, he/she told Shimmy how much I was insulting him on one of the web pages, so I got told off.

Well I've just taken my last class for this academic year..phew....and I'm a happy bunny. This means I now never have to get in in the morning and I can be dead snoozy in me bed. When I do get in I can do heavenly research (its heavenly for me...the research itself is pretty mediocre). Such a good feeling.

By the way, did you ever get that phone...I've found a place that does these like little phone handbag things in quite groovy designs. They are in Islington...where else?

Anyway, sorry to hear about your ankle, I doubt I could see over Shim's shoulder if I was not wearing some high shoes either, but I shudder to think what lurks on his shoulder anyhow, so I guess I'm better off.

Erm, hi again, lucky you for finishing your academic year. Remember when I said I didn't want to go back to school because there was 7 weeks of it? Well, there's 1 week and a day and a half left! Something to celebrate! Thing is after the holiday comes the real stress: WHAT AM I GONNA DO FOR MY GCSE's? That's when they really start to annoy you, the good thing is I've just got some of ym interim grades and I got grade A and effort 1-in other words, top marks for English!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some other grades are B1 for Food/textiles and art, and B2 for German. I think I'm doing well!

I haven't got my mobile phone yet, I'm getting it sometime after my birthday on January 20th. I'll be 14! Shame I have to share prezzies with my mummy.....

GCSE's....ah the fun begins. Sounds like you have a decent set of results. Especially the English, excellent!

I think you should do two lists: first is a list of fav. subjects and give each a mark out of 10 (the higher mark for the bestest one), second is a list of subjects you do well (again mark them out of 10). Then add up the scores from the two lists and choose the top scoring subjects.

You could get even more sophisticated and have a third list which marks the available subjects in terms of what you would like to do when you've finished school/university, ie the ones with the high marks are 'very relivant' etc....and then add up the scores per subject on all three lists.

BTW I've a fantastic impact photo of your Shim being punched on the nose by my very self...should I scan it in?

That's a very good point about the GCSE's. We just got a warning today that this upcoming holiday is our last chance to have a serious think about it, before we have to fill in the forms....the second major time in my life! Exciting!
