I can't be bothered to back to school
Katsy a.k.a. Esti Started conversation Oct 31, 1999
I've got 1 more day to sleep. Then I have to go back to school again.
I don't want to go back. It means I've got to go school for another 7 weeks non-stop for 5 days at a time, with two day rests in between. It's just not good. I just don't want to go back.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Know how you feel. Nevertheless, nice to see snoozyness runs in the Young family
Shimmy described you as a young female version of him. Would you say this was fair?
Also, who's your fav character in Star Wars I?
I've just had a very nice time!
Katsy a.k.a. Esti Posted Nov 6, 1999
Snooziness does run in the Young family.
Yes, I'm a female version of Shimmy, I suppose, except I'm not really in to Rock 'n' Roll like he is. I've actually just come back from a radio roadshow where I saw Shaft, Soda Club, Point Break and Skandle. Skandle were very nice, especially when at the end after the crowds had dispersed and we were the only ones hanging around the stage area. One of them was waving at us but also looking at us as if we were right idiots. (which I suppose he was right in thinking that)
My fave character in Star Wars had to either be Darth Maul or Obi Wan Kenobi. Both of them were excellent.
I'm now going to add to my journal about the roadshow.
I've just had a very nice time!

Emm I've never heard of any of those bands....I must betting old. What sort of music did they play?
My first live concert was brilliant. We stayed behind after that too (my sisters and I), and I think it is still the best gig I've ever been to. Mind I still love to go and see live music, this last I saw was an Irish band which were a mix between Hendrix and trancy dance music. I think they were called the Marbles.
Fav. character in Starwars is Yoda....because, like me, he speaks.
Do you do computer subjects at school?
Probably not.....
Katsy a.k.a. Esti Posted Nov 14, 1999
I'm not surprised that you haven't heard of any of those bands as they're all very new, and Skandal haven't even released yet, and I don't think Soda Club have either. Point Break have, but Shaft have actually been in the top 5 and are about to realease a second single.
Why is Yoda your fav. character just because he speaks? They all don't they? By the way, I've found out some stuff about Episode II. Natalie Portman and Ewan McGregor are still in, and Josh Hartnett is very likely to play Anakin Skywalker, and it's called "Empire Rising".
I do computer stuff at school, unfortunatly, we're doing the very boring subject of DTP. That's one thing I can now admit to Shimon: I can now see why you have producing posters.
Probably not.....
Jules Posted Nov 19, 1999
The bands....ahh......now I don't feel so old. I like Yoda because his sentences are structured strangely and I'm told that I do the same. Also he's cute and cuddly....but I'm not soppy, so you didn't hear that.
StarW. I'm supprised that Ewan is back, he really slagged off the Fans and basically the whole StarWars thing in some interviews.....just goes to show. If you were a StarWars character what character or type of character would you be?
Do you think computing runs in families?....Like you've 2 brothers in the area....I've a computer person sister/ computer based graphic designer sister and an electronic eng. brother. Other sister is married (ok weak link) to the grandnephew of one of the guys who worked on the Mark1 in Manchester....and me who is a computer person (??) too. Oh I also have a nice big family
Wonder if anyone else has noticed the same?
Probably not.....
Katsy a.k.a. Esti Posted Nov 21, 1999
Maybe computers do run in families....I don't know.
Last night I went to an 18th birthday bash in London. I don't think the guys who gave me a lift to the party realised how old I am. First they were determined to buy me a pint of Guinness and offered me a cigarette. I refused both but I agreed to have a sip of the Guinness, which I'm sorry to say was too bitter.......
Probably not.....
Jules Posted Nov 22, 1999
you think the guinness was bitter......just as well you didn't try the cigarette.....actually (in whispered tones) I think guinness is bitter....and I'm Irish.....it also upsets my tummy and makes me fat....but don't tell my friends or they'll disown me....shhhh
Not that I would encourage underage drinking...the only alcholic drink that is sweet I think is southern comfort with lemonade....now that's sweet....too sweet......actually my favourite drink of all time is pear schloer (or is it scholer...I don't know how to spell it)..no alcohol to be had...yummy.
better go....got lecture now!
Probably not.....
Katsy a.k.a. Esti Posted Nov 27, 1999
Mmmmm, 1 week later and I'm still recovering. I can still taste the Guinness even though I hardly had any. My friends are telling me that I should have accepted the pint of Guinness. Nah, I said, I'll have a Brandy or Avocar instead. I was the odd one out, 'cos I had no alcohol or smoked that night, I stayed completely sober. Thing is apparently the guys who offered the Guinness were trying to get me drunk anyway, so I guess that I was the winner!
Probably not.....
Jules Posted Nov 29, 1999
>Brandy or Avocar
Indeed much more sophisticated - I haven't tried Avocar yet..?.looks a bit creamy and yellow?. Brandy (like most adult stuff ) was such a disappointment; heavy rusty nails comes to mind?. I think you've to acquire a taste or something? and I can't be bothered? - don't understand why people 'train' themselves to like something that they think tastes discussing.
>no alcohol or smoked
I have to say I'd drink urine quicker than smoke?. I hate cigarettes totally?. Nothing worse than seeing a really nice looking bloke, who's bothered to get all dressed up and put on some nice aftershave and stuff only to smell cigarettes off him?..a real turn off, totally gross!
>the guys who offered the Guinness were trying to get me drunk anyway
Yea, emmm guys have a habit of doing that?. I think guy's think that they'll look better if we can't see them right or something?. I hear that's Shim's ploy, and look where that's got him, tee hee.
>I guess that I was the winner!
Certainly, they probably thought that you were cool in that you did your own thing.
Guess what? - know that band I talked about which was my first Gig, ?well I went to see them again on at the weekend, ?very good? - not as good as the first gig cos they didn't play my favourite songs, but still a good laugh.
What sort of music do all listen to anyway?
Probably not.....

There are no bugs in h2g2.
Only user error.

Probably not.....
Katsy a.k.a. Esti Posted Dec 5, 1999
Ah, Shim, Just who I was looking for. Mum is bugging me because she wants to install some programming language on the computer, but there's not enough hard disk. HELP!
Shimmy, what's your opinion I tried some Guinness?

Jules Posted Dec 10, 1999
Sheeemon you don't see me butting into your conversations......I was using work to develop my wonderous text and pasted into the text box and your system...yes YOUR system put some weird ?'s in.... explain that young man!
Not stray "???"...!
Ossario T'an Posted Dec 12, 1999
Kia Ora,
Sorry to butt in to this thread, but what I am seeing as i read this forum conversation is *not* stray "???" but smiley faces..!!
Around the frame of the window that surrounds the scroll down display of the posts in this thread, are some smiley faces. It is as one might see if the frame was a real solid 3-D object which had peel-off stickers of smiley faces stuck to the frame....
Shim may have a harder problem to solve here... perhaps???

Er, Shim never bothers replying, that was a one-off.
Not stray "???"...!
Ossario T'an Posted Dec 13, 1999
OK Thanks...
Smiley faces stuck on frames isn't a problem... just curious is all!
And it happens only intermittently.. i.e. I can't see any now on the frame here. Ah well, just one of those things that make life interesting and packed with surprises.
Ciaow meaow !
