#9? I'd heard yesterday that it had got to #5. Maybe it's started slipping already...

One of my friends (Ed Hunter on h2g2) has a ticket to go, but because we are all so young we need Big People to come with us. Apparently his dad hasn't got a ticket yet. Of course, they have now all sold out. I hope everything goes ok for him...

Well that was the number Mark Goodier gave out for it on Radio 1 (and the top ten is the same on both the BBC and the network charts).

Hope you both get something sorted to be able to go to the gig.

I've had somebody else tell me very enthusiastically that it got to #9, so I'm becoming more inclined to believe it.

19,500 tickets sold out, wow. That's gonna be a lot of people smiley - smiley

I'll be at the seating area near the back, raised up above everyone else. I'll need my glasses to be able to see the band...how will I mosh without them falling off?

You'll be needing some small binoculars to see the band more like smiley - smiley
I guess that they'll have some scrrens projecting some of the action.
As for moshing in glasses, either take them off, or get one of those sports bands to keep them on while engaged in active sports! I use one by croakies for canoeing with and they do work, and have mashed wearing it as well smiley - winkeye

Well, it would be quite annoying if I kept putting on and taking off my glasses evey time I got hyper...
Sports bands...don't think I've seen them around smiley - sadface

But I would like to see the band themselves, and still be able to jump aroumd a bit (I'm not one for going crazy).

Croakies can be found usually at outdoor persuits shots (Blacks, Cotswold Camping etc) I'm not sure where you are based or I'd have a look through my list of websites. What they are is a neoprene (the stuff wetsuits are made of) band with the ends sown into a long cylinder that goes over the glasses ear pieces. I was suprised when I found that it worked, so I'll recomend it to anyone who needs to wear glasses during active sports (that includes moshing you know smiley - smiley)

Well there's probably a Blacks or similar (ski shop, camping shop etc, I know there is a canoe shop near Plymouth smiley - smiley) That you can go to.
Sometimes optitans sell them, you'll just have to look out for one.

Hmmm, Plymouth, England, will I suppose it'd be difficult - but not impossible - to get to the Maiden gig if it was Plymouth, Massachusetts smiley - smiley

New Plymouth, New Zealand smiley - winkeye

I would ask at my opticians...but the next time I have good reason to go there is January 2001. Six months too late. Suppose I'll have to do some exploring with some friends, which is fair enough.
