Reading 'The Guardian' this weekend, I was startled and a little dismayed to see that a new play called 'Shimmer' by Linda McLean is about to open in Edinburgh. Good luck to Ms McLean and all others concerned with the play. Trouble is that the radio play I submitted to Radio 4 a few weeks ago was also called 'Shimmer'.
I'm sure it's just an unfotunate coincidence. The story of Ms McLean's play sounds completely unlike mine. Thing is, it means I'd better come up with a new title sharpish.
So: a title for a play about an electronic mirror that combines its users' real reflections with computer-generated imagery to make them look gorgeous. The best one I can come up with so far is 'Reflected Glory'. Has anyone got a better suggestion?
