h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

In these dark times, it's a relief to have some good news to celebrate. One of my heroes, Michael Moore, has won a richly-deserved Best Documentary Oscar for one of the greatest films I've ever seen - 'Bowling For Columbine', his superb analysis of American gun culture.

Mr Moore responded by giving a scathing speech about President Bush. I hope I may be permitted to add: 'Very well said, Mike!'.

Yup. Michael Moore's attack was quite brave, especially considered that the Oscars ceremony was in question until the last minute, and was obviously set up so that Americans could have their bit of escapism and turn off the war for a while.

Wish the Iraqis could.

On a trivial note, is it me or Adrien Brody's quite tasty? Yum.

Considering the whole Dixie Chicks debacle, he's a brave 'un.

Oddly, the worst film I've ever seen in my life had Adrien Brody in it.
