Who says you need to add water to have fun? Eating Jelly Crystals straight from the packet (raspberry and lime flavours particularly) it provided a boost that's easily 20 times higher than caffine. It can also make your teeth hurt and give you a headache - but that's not the point.

The fun way to eat it is tip some into the palm of your hand and lick it up with your tongue. This can also make your hand go the colour of the jelly.

If you get bored with just plain crystals, then why not make your own sherbert!!! Just get some Jelly Crystals, icing sugar and citric acid (powder) mix it all together and instant sherbert!!!! This also makes you go very hyper!!!

Have you ever thought of sweetening your tea/coffee with JElly Crystals instead of sugar? (they ARE practically the same thing) Can you imagine coming back several hours later to find a cold cup that has set? Now there's a way to reinvent Jelly for the adults!!!

We didn't have crystals in my day, but we used to eat jelly cubes - it was supposed to be good for strengthening the fingernails. Well that was our excuse !

Wow Shelley, you sound like my kind of person. Have you ever tried the powdered Koolaid, or any kind of drink mix? Impressive, although not as much as Jello, evidently. Got any other anarchistic foodstuff options to tell?

Well, it *COULD* be dangerous. Maybe.

In the US there is a candy called 'Nick-L-Nips'. [Anyway, it USED to be called that, 'cause, I guess, they were a nickel each]

They are paper straws that are closed at each end. Inside the tube is a powdered sugar/flavor/colored substance that may [or may not] be the same stuff they put in Jell-0/jelly. I used to eat the stuff left in the corners of the Jell-O packet when we made Jell-O, and it tasted just like the stuff in the straws.

In those days Koolaid did not come presweetened, so you wouldn't have wanted to eat it straight from the package, unless you are the type who also likes to suck lemons...

Anyway, they still make Nick-L-Nips, although I don't know if that is what it is called these days. But you probably can't make jelly out of it.

They're called "pixie Stix" now, and basically they're the children's equivalent of cocaine

Yep Pixie Sitx are still around - and by God they give you strong jaw muscles, as the only way to open them with out scissors is to bite/tear the end off.

As for Koolaide - I don't think we get that in Aus...

Huh..you must mean the big packages. The smaller tubes are made of paper and horribly easy to tear. Many a time the whole tube will tear apart, showering you with happy powder..

NO KOOLAID? How do you LIVE there?

No Kool-Aid.

Hmph.

See if *I* ever go to Oz.

as far as I can remember eating them - which is about 10 years - tehy only ever came in plastic tubes. I seem to remember several cuts on the upper jaw as a result

10 years ago? *shrug* The company may have gotten some kind of lawsuit from a kid cutting his mouth open on one or something before I was of the age to Pixie Stix.

Has anyone snorted/seen someone snort Pixie Stix? Endless hours of entertainment, I swear.
