Hi Ormy. *waves*
Last week my local cinema wouldn't show Farenheit 911 because 'There is a war and we support our troops'. Now I find out W is comming to my little town - population 29,000 - on Tuesday! Should I move? What has happened?

That's appalling about your local cinema's attitude to the film. For one thing, it has been Number One in the US box office charts, so it's not like it's a minority interest. As for 'supporting the troops', a lot of military families have supported the film for telling it like it is and giving soldiers the chance to say what the war/occupation is really like. I should imagine its non-appearance has a lot to do with Dubya's imminent visit.
Yeah, I'd stay long enough to have a laugh at the visiting and then get the hell out.

My niece has managed a ticket to the event and plans to protest, she has a sign that says ' Let's not elect him in 2004 either!'. Ah, to be young again. I really can't move, the mountain biking and beer are just too good. The cinema will not be getting any more of my money. I'll have to travel 50 miles to see Shrek II.

I ended up driving the 50 miles to see 911 and it was well worth the trip. George came and went. It was interesting that only 1200 tickets were available and yet 7000 people came to the rally. Its just like when the circus come to town only the Bush workers had better dental work.
