Lil,
After our discussion last night, I ended up getting carried away as usual, and drafted a h2g2 Law of Continuity page for fun and enlightenment (not for submission).
I hope you don't think it presumptuous of me. Since you are the Administrator of h2g2's Law of Continuity 
, I wanted to get your feedback/critique of it, and see if I got it right.

This is good.
Let's add the story of Fiend that I just posted to the cafe; he's gone, so no embarrassment will be caused.
We can mention that we have a Continuity Police Department, which acts as I did with Fiend or by issuing a Continuity Alert in an egregiously offensive thread.
And that respecting the law of continuity is the basis of "threadiquette", a neologism which I just this moment coined. And am very proud of.

Thanks for the suggestions, the Fiend story, and the nice compliments on the page!
There's already an interesting question/issue I've tried to address on the thread for the continuity page
